L.A. Noire is a video game developed by Team Bondi in conjunction with Rockstar Games and published by Rockstar Games. It is the biggest game ever made in Australia. La Noire is an action adventure video game that takes place in Los Angeles during 1947 and where Hollywood was growing and becoming the place where dreams came true and where dreams turned into nightmare. A city full of crime and corruption and what Cole Phelps learns is part of LA, as a former member of the Marine Corps he is full of spirit and joins the LAPD to serve his country. With his background skills he quickly rose through the ranks and became a well-respected Detective. You start as a patrol officer, and move through ranks quickly and become an arson investigator. One of the requirements of an arson investigator is to have gone through training in criminal justice. Phelps quickly jumps into his first case as patrol officer in an alleyway looking for a piece (gun) that was used during a crime. You look around trying to find the weapon that was used during the crime scene and you come across a bloodstain. This is where I realize that LA Noire was not just a game, if you like solving mysteries, and figuring out crimes by collecting evidences then this is the game for you. A game that lets you not only collects evidence but also manipulate it. Every clue that you collect during any investigation is recorded in Phelps’s notebook. As you collect more evidences during the game, this helps you solve the crime and put all the clues together to be used against your suspect which is being accused of a certain crime. This is what the core of LA Noire is, collecting evidences, and clues, examining bodies and interrogating you suspects during your investigation. When collecting and looking for clues the game allows you to interact during the whole gameplay which made me feel like I was part of an episode of detectives. The game blew me away during the first investigation of whose guns was it that killed scooter payton. I will not spoil this for you; you will have to experience this to feel what I mean.

The game has so much to offer you, from shooting at bad guys, car chases, pursuing suspects on foot, squaring off with suspects in fights, collecting evidences, interrogating suspects and much more. Why are LA Noire Graphics so Good? Well they use the technology that Movies use to record facial expressions which captures your entire face muscle movements. The MotionScan gives LA Noire a more realistic feel to the game that no other game has before. This technology allows you to finally analyses someone’s facial, and body actions and determines if they are telling the truth or not. MotionScan did allow Rockstar Games to polish a make this one of the most fascinating video games that I have ever played. Since you are playing as a detective you have to pay close attention to all details you hear, from suspects, witnesses, partners that will guide you to resolve the crimes that you are investigating. The sound in this game is a plus for me as in really makes you get into the game and it involves you in what you are trying to solve.  LA Noir is a crime solving adventure game that gets you hooked and with the motionscan technology to capture facial expressions from every angle and this allows the game to jump into the next level of making it more real, interactive by handling evidence and gathering clues to solve crimes.
